Let me tell you a wee story about Janis.
Janis, a high achieving sales person, career top performer in a high stress medical sales gig is our subject of today's tale.
Janis, like many of you, was noticing the changing landscape as a sales person, internally to her company and externally. She knew that it was time to rise confidently to new challenges within her team, and especially within a newly formed women's group at her company. She was the first to sign up to co-lead a book club chapter meeting when it was announced.
Then, she attended the first, lead by her boss.
Her boss was cool, confident, and poised.
Her boss was engaging and magnanimous.
Her boss knocked it out of the park.
Janis and her busy mom co-facilitator were next up.
Janis stopped sleeping.
Janis knew that to be seen as professional as her boss, she'd need new skills.
These were not skills to her job.
These were brand new presentation on Zoom skills.
There's no certification or degree for this, y'all. YET.
So, Janis saw that I had been offering some "On Camera Confidence" classes, and knew she didn't have time to go leisurely through this series.
She wanted one on one/one on team coaching for the development and creation of this one hour presentation.
Her job and her career were riding on it.
She hired me.
